THE NATIONAL BRANDS DEVELOPMENT AND THE MADE IN NIGERIA PROJECT OFFICE
The unglamorous, tedious work that might actually save 'Made in Nigeria
You grew up hearing “Made in Nigeria” and cringing. Falling sandals. Bleaching shirts. Biscuits that crumbled before you opened them. I know. I lived it too.
But that version of Nigerian manufacturing died around 2018. Nobody told you because bad news travels faster than good news.
The National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Project Office exists because something new is crawling out of the ashes. And we need you – yes, you with the Instagram store and the TikTok complaints – to pay attention.

The Boring But Important Part
We are a real office under the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Our budget is public. Our results are published every quarter. We don't do contracts. We don't do “consultants.” We do:
Free certification assistance for SMEs
Shared pavilions at international trade fairs (Madrid, Denver, Singapore coming up)
Direct links to bulk buyers (Shoprite, Justrite, Spar are waiting)
If you make anything – clothes, bags, shoes, food, furniture, electronics, water tech – fill our 5‑minute form. We will visit you. We don't ask for money.
The One Thing That Scares Us
Not lack of funds. Not bad roads. Not even foreign competition.
What scares us is you don't know that things have changed.
We can build the pavilions, get the certifications, arrange the shipping – but if you, the Nigerian consumer, still walk past a local product to pick up a Chinese one out of habit, then we have failed.
And we don't intend to fail.
